Ferry Study and Port Development Plan, Malta

The Malta Maritime Authority appointed Fisher Associates to undertake the twin studies:

• Feasibility study for development of ferry services between Gozo and Sicily: This assesses the feasibility of a new direct service linking Gozo and Sicily, including considering the market potential, the options for the service, and infrastructure requirements.
• Formulation of a Strategic Plan for Port of Mgarr, Gozo: This looks at the all sectors of port traffic, with a view to identifying future infrastructure needs and preparing a Masterplan based on best practice.

Local partners Europa Research and Consultancy Services assisted with assessing the economic and financial feasibility of the two projects. (2007)

BOT Appraisal for Zagreb Airport, Croatia

On behalf of a potential bidder, undertook an initial analysis of potential for a BOT project (1 Fisher, 2000)

Wroclaw Logistics Centre Evaluation, Poland
On behalf of a consortium including ECT and Dutch Railways, assisted with scoping opportunity and developing a project with commercial rationale. Sub-contracted to Arcadis. (One person, 1999)

Shipka Road / Tunnel, Bulgaria
On behalf the Roads Administration and Mitsui & Co Ltd, write an initial project valuation to back initial allocation of international financing for the new road and 3.2 km tunnel. (One person, 1999)

Site Valuation, Port of Tallinn, Estonia
On behalf of a major steel trader (RUMA-USA) and their financial adviser (Hypo- und Vereinsbank), retained to undertake a free market valuation of multi-purpose terminal. (One person, 1999)
